Later, they visited nuclear facilities including KNF, KORAD, DHI, and even Saeul siteto observe the construction of state-of-art Shingori-5 and 6.

Through the visit, Korea and Australiaexchanged information on the nuclear industry and set a stepping stone forfurther cooperation between the two countries.

The past President of Australian Nuclear Association (ANA), Mr. Robert Parker expressed satisfaction about Korea’scapability to not only construct the power plants on time, but also manage themwithout any difficulties.

Currently, Australia is in a transitionperiod from using coal to other alternatives in order to deal with escalatingcosts and environmental issues. Since the country is starting to form a socialconsensus on implementing nuclear power plants, KNA expects the visit will bebeneficial for both countries to promote a fruitful MOU in the long run.
