KNF prepares for the future with unique innovative production system By KNF / 17th April 2017 Supplies high-quality nuclear fuel with production and quality innovation activities, put spurs to Fourth Industrial Revolution KNF (CEO, Lee Jae-hee) has been supplying high-quality, zero-defect nuclear fuel through continuous site improvement and efficient facility management by using KIPS (KEPCO NF Innovative Production System). Last year, KNF reduced about 400 million won through KIPS by improving the conversion kiln. Including the cost reduction, KNF had an effect equivalent to 3.1 billion won through 39 TPM activities, 32 Six Sigma activities, and 1,271 proposal activities, and also this year KNF plans to carry out various improvement and proposal activities. In the future, KNF will grow KIPS as a technology development idea platform that leads the fourth industrial revolution. KNF plans to secure future competitiveness step by step through the development of information technology between devices and devices, and implementation of the smart factory that advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data utilization are integrated. On the other hand, KNF has been selected as a company with excellent quality competitiveness for the last 16 years in Korea and won the Presidential Prize in recognition of the improvement of the laser welding process in the quality circle competition.
