As part of continuing effort to strengthen cooperation between Korea and newcomer countries, KNA invited opinion leaders of Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board(SLAEB) from May 20th to 26th.

The delegation headed by the chairman of SLAEB, Lakshita Jayawardasena, participated in Korea-Sri Lanka nuclear energy seminar and visited major nuclear facilities including DHI, Shin Kori/Saeul site, KORAD, and KNF, raising awareness of Korean nuclear technology.

During the visit, both sides had meaningful discussions about possible cooperation areas.

Sri Lankan side proposed KNA to sign MOU which covers establishment of Nuclear Knowledge Management Center(NKMC) and implementing a joint programme to provide skilled man power.
