Nuclear Engineers Society (NES) of Turkey and Korea Nuclear Association (KNA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote long-term cooperation between the two organizations on March 6th, at Istanbul. The MOU will induce experience sharing and cooperation in human resources development area of the two nations.

Signing of the MOU took place during the 5th International Nuclear Power Plant Summit, which was held in Istanbul from March 6th to March 7th.

The event contained conferences where world’s opinion leaders discussed about the present and future of nuclear power industry, and exhibition with B2B meeting where world’s industries came together to explore opportunities for future cooperation. KNA, along with NSE Technologies Corp. and Energyen Corp., participated in the exhibition to introduce and share the potentials of Korean nuclear industries and its supply chain. 

Since the exhibition was held in Istanbul, localizing nuclear power construction in Turkey was a prominent issue. KNA anticipates that the summit will be a stepping stone for Korean companies to bond with the industry in Turkey and expand exports.
