KNA invited opinion leaders from Czech’s new nuclear power plant construction site to improve overall understanding of Korea’s nuclear industry from February 17th to 22nd. After watching Pyeongchang Winter Olympic game, delegations visited nuclear facilities including KHNP, KORAD, and DHI. They also visited Ulju County office and Kori/Saeul site to review the circumstances of operating Korean nuclear power plant and the aspects of cooperation between the regional council and nuclear power plant.

 

Through this visit, Korea and Czech exchanged information on the nuclear industry and sought to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

 

Mayor of Dukovany, Miroslav Kristal said he was deeply impressed with the safety of Korean nuclear power plant and KHNP’s capability to construct and operate the nuclear power plants. He also mentioned “I support building Korean nuclear power plant in Czech”.

 

“We will continue our efforts to enhance not only the technical strength of KHNP, but also emotional marketing and awareness of the Korean brand to build close affinity between the two countries”, said a KHNP official.
